Interpretation and Translation Center features professional interpreters and translators who have completed master’s degrees at a graduate school of interpretation and translation at home or abroad as well as having accumulated various experiences in the field. They are able to take on roles in interpretation and translation at state events, international conferences, seminars, workshops, press conferences and symposia, and provide accurate interpretation and translation.
As a member of the AIIC and a conference interpreter, I have provided interpretation services for nine heads of states including former U.S. President George W. Bush and former U.S. President Clinton, four royal family members including Queen Elizabeth II and leaders of world-beating companies. These include meetings for friendly cooperation and negotiating tables for national interests. These meetings are of great important to which the future of a company depends, meetings which are confidential or so sensitive that people raise their voices. I found that the role of an interpreter is not only to provide accurate interpretation services but also to understand the client’s thoughts and make the mood appropriate.
